Acne Home Cures: A Remedy in Every Corner of Your Home

Addressing your acne problem need not be a complicated procedure. Believe it or not, a lot of solutions can be found in your home; it can be from your kitchen, from the garden and even from the bathroom cabinet. Acne home cures do work for most people, particularly those of moderate types. Want to know where you can find these solutions? Read on.

Acne home cures can be as simple as a mixture of lukewarm water mixed with vinegar that you can dab on your pimples. The natural cleansing power of vinegar can help eliminate the bacteria clogging your pores and causing them to breakout into pimples. If you prefer a better-smelling formula, opt for rosewater mixed with warm water to be used as facial cleanser. It does help keep your face clean and clear and can prevent the outbreak of zits.

Another favorite home cure among pimple sufferers is garlic. It might not smell as good as other solutions, but it can do the trick. A couple of cloves dabbed on your pimples and you're all set. Lemon, another common acne solution, is also effective against minor zits. The juice can be applied on affected areas or can be mixed with warm water to be used as facial wash. Or you can use the skin to rub against the face (gently, of course) to be washed by clean water after 30 minutes or so.

You might have heard about toothpaste being a pimple cure. No, it's not a myth; for some, toothpaste does work. But this is more an overnight cure than a long-term solution. If you need to be somewhere the next day and you don't fancy wearing red dots on your face, dab toothpaste on the affected areas and leave it on overnight. Toothpaste is good enough to minimize the size of the bumps overnight to give you a clearer, smoother complexion the next day.

Other acne home cures that are preferred by many are oatmeal, egg white, cucumber or papaya – all used as facial mask and washed off with clean water after an hour. The trick with home solutions is to find the one that best work for you and the one you don't feel icky about putting on your face. The good thing? Most of them are harmless since they are mostly natural products. Some might work better than others, but the thing to remember is that they are ideal only for mild to moderate pimples and not for acne in its most developed condition.
