Home Treatment for Acne: Some of the Simplest and Forgotten Methods

Home treatment for acne is ideal for mild to moderate conditions. These types of treatment usually work overnight or over a period of a few days. Most of them do not cost anything at all and are easy to prepare, easy to apply or use and - based on what most people who have tried them had revealed - quite effective.

Some home treatment for acne is so simple that a lot of people are not even aware that they can be used for curing or preventing pimples. Below is a list of some of them.
1. Warm water with salt. Washing your face with this formula will help eliminate excess oil from your skin and help prevent pimples from breaking out.
2. Ice. Put ice on the pimple before going to bed. The cold is said to be effective in bringing the swelling down and the effect will be noticeable by next morning.
3. Egg white. This acts like a facial mask. Apply the white of the egg on your face and let it dry like a mask. Rinse with warm water after 30 minutes or an hour.
4. Honey. This can be used on its own, applied to the affected areas and left for a half-hour. Or you could mix it with cinnamon powder to make a paste that you can apply to your face and left on for the whole night. Wash it off the morning after.
5. Vinegar. Soak cotton with vinegar and dab it on the pimple. Do this after you have washed your face clean.
6. Aspirins. Make a powder out of the aspirins by grounding them and mix the result with honey and water to make a paste. Apply the paste to your face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash your face with warm water afterwards.
7. Sugar. Pour water on sugar (white or brown) enough to make a semi-paste. Apply the resulting product on your face and leave it on for 30 minutes before washing it off with clean water.
8. Rose water. All you need is cotton dipped in rose water and you have an instant facial cleanser. Do this at least two times a day.
9. Yogurt and oatmeal. Mix and make a paste. Apply the paste to your face and let it dry. Wash it off with warm water.
10. Papaya, lemon, orange and other fruits. You can use the juice or the peel, or in the case of papaya, the fruit itself. Dab them on the affected areas. Don't use them all at the same time; just choose the one you like the most.

Home treatment for acne is a simple way of addressing a common skin problem. You might not like some of them, but the numerous options ensure that you will find at least one that you are willing to try and, hopefully, will work for you.
